Senator Plateau North, Barr. I. D. Gyang Condemns Attack on Kangboro Village

CONDOLENCE MESSAGE FOLLOWING  ATTACK ON KANGBORO VILLAGE.

The noon day attack and complete burning down of KANGBORO village inhabited by the Irigwe under Riyom Local government on Monday 17/06/19 is yet another sad commentary in our quest for lasting peace.

Already, five persons have been confirmed dead, among whom is a uniform personnel of Operation Safe Haven who was on a rescue mission to the community.

While empathising with the  community who are now in displacement and families of the deceased, including that of the security operative, I condemn the attacks in strong terms.

I am appealing to all communities and residents of Plateau North Senatorial District not to allow the activities of criminally minded blood merchants, terrorist and cattle rustlers affect our resolve to peacefully coexist with one another. Government on her part should  strengthen security in axis that are still prone to attacks.

I am equally calling on the National and  Plateau State Emergency Management Agencies to urgently step in and provide relief to the displaced community of Kangboro.

SENATOR I. D. GYANG.
