Senator Joshua Dariye Joins Gov. Mutfwang, other National Leaders at the Maiden Plateau Unity Christmas Carols

Former Governor of Plateau State and Senator Plateau Central during the 7th and 8th Senate, His Excellency Senator Joshua Dariye on Friday 29th November, 2024 joined the Governor of Plateau State and other prominent National Leaders at the Ten commandments Prayer Altar Doi Du Jos South Local Government Area for the Plateau State Interdenominational Unity Christmas Carols and Praise Festival.

Senator Dariye took the First Lesson reading from Genesis 3:1-19.

Shortly after the event and while speaking to the Press, Sen. Dariye harped on the need for greater unity, genuine reconciliation and forgiveness if progress is to be achieved by the State, Nation and the Citizens.He urged religious Leaders, Traditional Rulers, political Leaders and the elites to discard divisive tendencies and unite the People towards attaining greatness and prosperity for the State and Nation at large. He called for ceaseless prayers for Plateau State and Nigeria in order to overcome the challenges being faced by the People.

He urged the People to make service to God their priority.He applauded the State Government for the soul lifting event and called for the sustenance.

The Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang in his remarks hinted that the event is a significant step to the unity and destiny of the State. He vowed to work to ensure unity, peace and prosperity is achieved in the State.

Former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Minister of Information and Culture, Prof. Jerry Gana all lauded the initiative and also joined the call for understanding, unity and peace for development to thrive.

The President of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo in his exhortation spoke on the peace Jesus Christ brought to the World. Reading from Luke 2:13, he admonished the Citizens of the State to embrace each other irrespective of their ethnic, religious and political inclinations.

Deputy Governor of the State Her Excellency Ngo Josephine Piyo and Sen. Istifanus Gyang also took scriptural readings.

It was an atmosphere of praise, worship and intercession. Choir groups, notable Gospel Artists across Nigeria and other cultural groups thrilled the Congregation with their soul lifting performances.
