SENATOR I D GYANG TURNS 59 TODAY.

On this day in 1963, a Nigerian Politician who is a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Istifanus Dung Gyang, most commonly known as ID Gyang was born in Fan district of Barkin Ladi Local government area of Plateau state.

He had his education at Fan and his secondary education at Government Secondary School Riyom and finished in 1981 graduating as the overall best student in the 1981 set.

He later proceeded to the Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria where he acquired a degree in International Studies.

Senator I D Gyang has been a thoroughbred administrator who has rendered selfless and impactful service to his people and the nation at large for over 29 years now.

He began his career pursuit as a classroom teacher in order to give something back to his immediate society for grooming him to that point.

He would later proceed to serve as an administrative officer, secretary Special Task Force on Petroleum Distribution, Director Cabinet Office and Permanent Secretary Security before he decided to seek for a broader platform to further render unrelenting service to his beloved people.

Senator ID Gyang was a member of the 8th Assembly where he graciously represented Barkin Ladi/Riyom Constituency in the House of Representatives in Abuja.

As it is often said, the reward for a good work done is simply more work, hence the good people of Plateau North deemed it suiting to demand that I.D moves a stride higher to offer them better and bigger representation at the red chamber of the National Assembly as a Senator.

He is a strong voice in the Senate and is remembered for his powerful prayer at 2020 budget presentation by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Senator Gyang also holds an LLB from the prestigious University of Jos and an Honorary Doctorate Degree from the University of Belize.
