Senator-Elect, Rep. ID Gyang Sues for Peace in Plateau North, Condemns Attack

SYMPATHY AND CALL FOR PEACE OVER KILLING OF HUMAN LIVES AND CATTLE IN PLATEAU NORTH

I have noted with grave concern the renewal of acts capable of eroding the prevailing peace in Plateau North particularly the ambush and killing of four Irigwe natives which was immediately followed by the hacking to dead of about 100 herds of cattle in the same axis of Bassa LGA.

I deeply sympathize and empathise with the victims over this loss.

I wish to state categorically that these acts are despicable, evil and capable of reversing the gains so far recorded in our quest to entrench peace in Plateau North.

Let us avoid violence in Plateau North  and embrace dialogue so as to constructively engage ourselves in seeking peaceful means of resolving dispute and areas of disagreement.

We must collectively stand against all forms and acts of criminality and evil.

Inability to enforce law and order also breeds crime and criminality. I am therefore urging the security agencies to rise to the occasion and search out the perpetrators of this evil acts for prosecution.

Barr. I.D. Gyang,
Senator Elect,
Plateau North.
