Senator Dariye Commiserates With Traders of Katako Jos North LGA Timber Market over Inferno

Former Governor of Plateau State and Senator Plateau Central during the 7th and 8th Senate, Senator Joshua Dariye has extended his heartfelt empathy to the Traders of Timber Market Katako Jos North Local Government Area, Plateau State over the fire disaster that engulfed their shops and property worth billions of Naira thereby abrupting their business and affecting their means of livelihood.

Senator Dariye in a commiseration letter described the disaster as unfortunate and a major setback to the Traders, their businesses, the economy of Plateau State and Nigeria at large.He encouraged the Traders not to despair but trust God who is the ultimate source of wealth for divine restoration.

The Senator urged government at all levels, Non-governmental Organizations and well-spirited individuals to come to the aid of the affected Traders so that they can continue with their legitimate businesses to add value to the Society, State and Nation at large.

He admonished the Traders to ensure they imbibe precautionary measures that would prevent future occurrence.

“The inferno that engulfed shops and property of Traders at the popular Timber Market Katako Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State is devastating and very unfortunate. It is important that the affected Traders are assisted in order to go back to their lawful businesses. I empathize with them and pray that such disaster and calamity would not befall them again” he said.

Senator Dariye also commiserated with the Traders’ Union, Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council and government of Plateau State over the fire disaster.
