Sen. Joshua Dariye Salutes Chief Mafuyai, OON @ 80

Former Plateau State Governor, Chief Joshua Chibi Dariye felicitates with a one time Minister of Aviation, Chief Samuel Gitik Mafuyai as he marks his 80th birthday anniversary.

In a congratulatory message, Chief Dariye described Chief Mafuyai as an accomplished administrator, Politician, bridge builder and a Community leader whose footprints in the sands of time will always be cherished. He said the celebrant who was the first Commissioner of Education in old Plateau State (present Plateau and Nasarawa), has contributed immensely to the educational development of the two states having also worked as one of the pioneering staff of the University of Jos.

The former governor who recalled with fond memories the efforts of the elder statesman towards the success of his re-engineering administration between 1999-2007, lauded the celebrant for being a strong ally in his political trajectory.

“Chief Mafuyai was a strong pillar of support during my administration as his counsel is always handy. As the Chairman of the APC Elders Forum of Bokkos Local Government, He is an indispensable ally in my political journey which I will forever cherish” Dariye remarked.

Chief Dariye noted that the celebrant who also bagged a National Award of the Officer Order of Niger OON is testament to his exemplary service to God and humanity, which should be emulated by all.

According to Chief Dariye, Chief Mafuyai’s who equally served as a board member of the Nigeria Printing and Minting Company has contributed a lot to the socioeconomic development of Nigeria, Plateau and Nasarawa States is a thing of pride that the future generations need to emulate.

On behalf of his family and political associates, Dariye wishes Chief SG Mafuyai happy birthday and good health as he urged him not to relent in offering his advice whenever the need arises.
