The former Governor of Plateau State, Senator Joshua Dariye has expressed immense pleasure at the appointment of some Plateau Sons and Daughter by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR to the Governing Councils of Federal Colleges of Education in the Country.
Those appointed are Hon. Alphonsus Homsuk Baba as Chairman of the Governing Council for Federal College of Education Odugbo Benue State, Professor Ishaya Pam and Zara Duamlong Usman as Members Governing Council of Federal College of Education (Technical) Yauri Kebbi State.
Dariye, former Senator Plateau Central in the 7th and 8th Senate expressed confidence that all the Appointees are Personalities with good track records and pedigrees having served Plateau State and the Nation diligently in various capacities at different times.
He tasked them to serve selflessly and see their appointments to the respective offices as divine.
While appreciating President Bola Tinubu for finding the Appointees worthy, he charged them to key into the “Renewed Hope” of the President Tinubu’s administration and justify the trust and confidence reposed in them with meticulous services and uncompromising integrity.
“The Appointees are seasoned Technocrat who have added value to Plateau State and Nigeria. They are round pegs in round holes and I am optimistic that they will do the State and Nation proud as they hit the ground running. I call on them to bring their wealth of experience and expertise to bear to add value to the Nation” he said.
In the same vein, the Senator has congratulated Barrister Gyang Zi on his elevation to the inner Bar as Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) by the Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC) headed by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, His Lordship, Justice Olukayode Oriwoola, GCON. He said the conferment is a testament of the dedication of the legal Luminary considering his immense contributions to the legal system.
He prayed God to give them the wisdom and wherewithal to navigate and perform their official duties creditably well.
