Former Governor of Plateau State and Senator Plateau Central District during the 7th/8th Senate, Senator Joshua Dariye on Tuesday 22nd October, 2024 visited the Gbong Gwom Jos and Chairman Plateau State Council of Chiefs and Emirs, His Majesty Da Jacob Gyang Buba, CFR to empathize and comfort the Family over to the demise of Barrister Timothy Chollom Buba, former Executive Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council, Plateau State.
Sen. Dariye disclosed that their mission at the Palace of the Gbong Gwom Jos who is their elder One and paramount Ruler to console him and the Family over the demise of their loved one who God called to glory.
According to him, time as such is not easy and no one can question God who gives and takes.
Quoting from Deuteronomy 29:29, Sen. Dariye encouraged the Family to look up to God who is all knowing and the Supernatural for divine comfort since no one can question God who knows all secret things and only reveal those He deem fit to mortal beings.
In his words “Plateau State has lost an illustrious Son who added remarkable value and impact to democracy and the legal profession in Nigeria. Though death is an inevitable path of all mortals, the demise of a loved one is painful”
He prayed God to comfort the wife, children he left behind as well as other Family Members.
The Gbong Gwom Jos, Da Jacob Gyang Buba, CFR appreciated the former Governor and his entourage for the visit who he said has further strengthened and encouraged the Family more.
He said Barr. Timothy Buba was his only Brother and played key roles serving humanity and the society diligently during his lifetime.
On the entourage of the former Governor was a one time Secretary to the State Government, Nde John Gobak, former Commissioners, Aminu Zang and Bitrus Doro, former Permanent Secretaries, Litta Shindai, Chief Gideon Mitu and Chief James Dashan as well as a former Permanent Member one in the Plateau State Universal Primary Education Board, Chief Ezekiel Angai among several others.
