Former Executive Governor of Plateau State and Senator Plateau Central Senatorial Zone during the 7th and 8th Senate, Chief Joshua Dariye has congratulated His former Colleague, His Excellency Senator George Akume, the former Governor of Benue State and Secretary to the Government of the Federation on his conferment with an Honorary Doctorate Degree by Nile University of Nigeria, Abuja.
Senator Dariye described the conferment as well-deserved and a testament to the remarkable impact of Sen. Akume to education, human capital development and Nation building.
He lauded the remarkable contributions of Sen. Akume to Benue State, the Nigerian Senate and Nation at large.
He charged Sen. Akume to be spurred by the honour to do more to the education sector and serve the Nation more diligently to attract more honours in the future.
“My Brother, Friend and Colleague, His Excellency Senator George Akume is known for excellence, his immense contributions to the Nation and humanity are commendable. I know he will do more to justify this honour and the responsibility accompanying same” he said.
He prayed God to strengthen the Sen. Akume as he continue to work to achieve the “Renewed Hope” Agenda of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration.
