Former Governor of Plateau State and two-time Senator of Plateau Central Senatorial Zone, Senator Joshua Dariye has welcomed the appointment of Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe as Minster of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction designate by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
Sen. Dariye in a statement described the appointment as apt, well-deserved and could be likened to “putting a square peg in a square hole”The former Governor said Dr. Nentawe is a worthy illustrious Son, who has paid his dues in nation building having served the Nation meticulously as a reputable Scholar and State Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). He also commended the contributions of the Appointee to technology penetration, appreciation and advancement by Nigerians especially the Younger generation.While congratulating Dr. Nentawe, Senator Dariye admonished him not to disappoint the confidence reposed in him but justify same with excellent performance.
He urged him to key into the “Renewed Hope” Agenda of the President Tinubu-led administration and add value to the Nation. He expressed optimism that Dr. Nentawe being a brilliant Technocrat will bring to bear his wealth of experience, technical know-how and capacity to take the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs to greater pedestals.
He averred that “I am well pleased and impressed with this well-deserved appointment of one of Plateau best. He is experienced, charismatic and a People’s Person. I am positive that Dr. Nentawe will add value to the present administration and transform the Ministry he will be superintending. I want to call on him to serve diligently and with integrity as he is accustomed to”
He applauded President Tinubu for finding a good Ambassador of Plateau State worthy of such appointment.
He assured the Appointee of his support at all times in order to succeed in his new Office and wish him the very best all through his tenure.
