Saf Butura John Malo vows to promote peaceful coexistence among citizens through sports

To ensure lasting peace in Plateau State ,the Butura Traditional Council of Bokkos local government of the state at the weekend organised a football competition with a view to promoting peace Co existence among citizens of the local government .
.Speaking to newsmen in Bokkos local government area of the state after the grand finale of the tournament the Saf Butura, the traditional ruler of the district Engr John Malo said that the tournament would help foster peace and unity in the society.
He said as traditional ruler , we would continue to promote peaceful coexistence among the youths in the state.”
He said “I am determined to use sports as a platform to impart life skills to the Nigerian youth and to provide them with talent-building opportunities .”
I am determined to promoting peace, reconciliation and empowering Nigerian youths through active engagement in sporting activities. ”
“Our Correspondent reports that prizes were presented to the teams who participated in the tournament as well as the winner of the competition by the traditional ruler .
Commissioner of Sports of Plateau State Hon Danladi Mann ,who spoke at the occasion called on the people of the state to continue to support the Simon Lalong led administration at all times.
The commissioner who noted that youths were very crucial to the growth of every society, said the state government is determined to empower the youths with funds and materials to go into agriculture to boost food production, generate employment and boost self-reliance.
The Lalong led administration is using a three dimensional approach of Empowerment, Employment and Engagement so as to encourage Plateau youths to explore their talents toward improving their lots,” he said.
He said the Lalong led government is determined to better the lives of citizens of the state.
Mann called on the people of the state to continue to stay peacefully with one another and commended the traditional ruler for organizing the tournament.
