The Special Adviser to the Speaker of the House of Representatives on Youth matters Hon. Umar Lamir has been honoured with the chieftaincy title as Wakilin Matasan Iyan Zazzau.

The chieftaincy title was conferred on Hon. Lamir and other recipients in Zaria on Wednesday by the Iyan Zazzau himself who is the Speaker of the House of Representatives Abuja, Rt. Hon. Dr. Abbas Tajudeen.

Speaking about the honour done, Hon. Lamir said the conferment was an honoured to him for the Iyan Zazzau to recognize him with such an important title.

He described the Iyan Zazzau and his boss as a kind-hearted leader who has stood firm for the empowerment of the youths, saying he remains grateful to the leadership style of the Speaker .

“The chieftaincy title conferment on me as the Wakilin Matasan Iyan Zazzau, by the Iyan Zazzau him the Rt Hon. Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, PhD. is among the most important ones in my life, and iam very Happy”

Lamir noted that the chieftaincy title conferred on him was a call to service and dedication to serve his boss and Nigeria with sincerity of purpose as a Youth Ambassador.

He also appreciated the Reps Speaker and the Iyan Zazzau for finding him worthy of such a title and pledge to protect the image of the Iyan Zazzau with his new title.

It would be recalled that Hon. Lamir had also honoured as the Dujuman Bauchi, in Bauchi State.

Lamir as the Special Adviser to the Reps Speaker on Youth Matters has made significant contributions various communities in Zaria, Plateau and Bauchi State, and people are confident that he will continue to do so in his new role.
