Rt. Hon. George Daika’s Guber Ambition Attracts More Endorsements in Bokkos, B/Ladi, Jos East/North LGAs

As the 2019 General Election gets closer, those seeking elective positions have continued wider consultations and permutations to win more supports from delegates.

That isn’t different from one of the heavyweight Gubernatorial Hopefuls of the PDP in Plateau State, Rt. Hon. George Edwards Daika who has continued to attract more endorsements and enjoy wider supports by statutory delegates of his political party, the PDP thereby boosting his chances of emerging victorious in the forthcoming Gubernatorial Primaries.

In Bokkos LGA, the Campaign Team first put a courtesy call across to the Acting Saf Ron Kulere, HRH Saf Monday Adanchin who is the Traditional Ruler of Bokkos District, Bokkos LGA, Plateau State to seek for Royal blessings.

The Royal Father applauded and welcomed the Campaign Organisation saying he is happy to host them. He said with the array of persons of integrity in the team, he is sure the team is out for God. He blessed the Aspirant and wished him victory while praying God to be with the team all through their campaigns. He charged them to put God first and unite the people if elected.

The Executives of the party in Bokkos LGA under the leadership of Hon. Michael Angwen welcomed the team and said the Aspirant is not new to Plateau politics as he knows the needs and challenges of the people and State having served as number three citizen, Speaker Plateau House of Assembly, later Member House of Representatives and Member ECOWAS Parliament.
The Chairman said he is sure Rt. Hon. George Daika will not disappoint the people of Plateau State if elected as Governor. He endorsed the Aspirant and prayed God to grant him victory in the forthcoming primaries and main election.
Also speaking at the event, the Deputy Chairman Daffo Ward Alhaji Shanono said he is impressed with the frankness of Rt. Hon. Daika and said they would work towards ensuring his victory. The PDP Women Leader Bokkos LGA, Hon. Mrs. Anna Arings said the Aspirant is credible following his track records and said she is happy seeing more women in the team. She called on him to ensure women are involved in the governance process if he is elected.

In Barkin Ladi LGA, the team was awesomely received by the Party Executives under the leadership of Hon. Philip Jwey who doubles as Chairman of PDP Local Government Chairmen Forum in the State. He said Rt. Hon. George Daika has sacrificed to the party and deserves to be supported. He said he has heard of how he took care of the Party Executives in Shendam, Qua’anpan and Mikang LGAs while he was in the National Assembly. He wished the Aspirant success and admonished him to ensure the security situation bedeviling the Local Government and State is given due attention.

In Jos East Local Government, despite the rains, the Party Executives warmly received the Campaign Team and promised to give the Aspirant their full supports. The Chairman said the Aspirant has proven to be a great leader when he was Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly and member House of Representatives. He said the dividends of his quality representations are there for all to see. He said Rt. Hon. George Daika remains the best among all the Aspirants and knowledgeable about the problems confronting the State. He endorsed the Aspirant for support and election.

In Jos North LGA, the campaign team was well received by the Party Executives under the leadership of Alh. Aminu Abdullahi. Alh. Aminu said the Aspirant, Rt. Hon. George Daika is worthy to be Governor having demonstrated enough capacity and competence in the various positions he held. He said he is convinced he will make a good Governor. He endorsed the Aspirant and called on others to give him the support he needs to emerge victorious.

In all the Local Government Areas visited, the Director General of the Campaign Organisation, Hon. Prof. Sam Godongs said the Aspirant is bold, fearless, people-oriented, having a large heart, a person of proven integrity and immense capacity to move Plateau State considering how backward the State is being in the hands of mediocre. He said the State is at a critical stage and needs someone who would pursue the interest of the people and stand by the State at all times. He posited that Rt. Hon. Daika is someone with experience, exposure, connections and in-depth knowledge of the plights of the people of Plateau State and that can be bold enough to pursue the interest of the people and stand by the State no matter the circumstances. He said he has seen the qualities of a great Governor in Rt. Hon. George Edwards Daika who he referred to as the best. He called on the delegates to be cautious and choose the best Aspirant, who he said remains Rt. Hon. Daika who would save the State from collapsing.

The Gubernatorial Aspirant in his separate remarks in all the Local Government said his agenda is to pursue peace and unity by confronting the insecurity bedeviling the State. He said he would be happy if he is able to ensure justice prevails and peace is attain without which there would be no development. He said he is ready to make the greatest sacrifice to ensure people live in harmony and cohabit peacefully with one another irrespective of their ethnic, tribal, religious and political inclinations as well as social and economic statuses.

The Aspirant said development would come if peace is achieve and would always count on the people who are his wealth and assets to win the Primaries and main elections as well as their supports in governance.

He admonished the delegates to take good decision to bring Plateau State out of the present predicament or take the wrong decision that would mar the progress of the State by taking it more backward. He urged them to pray for him, the PDP, Plateau State, Nigeria. He said if he is the God-chosen one, they should vote for him but if another Aspirant is considered better than him, that person should be supported and he would equally be ready to work for that person for the interest of the party and State.
He said the unity, peace, prosperity, growth and development of Plateau State is paramount to him.
