Resettlement Of IDPs: COCIN commends Lalong calls for expediency In the exercise

Church of Christ in Nations COCIN has Commended governor Simon Lalong of Plateau state for the steps taken towards resettling the internally displaced persons IDPs saying they hope the exercise will be done with expediency in the state.
They appreciate the various NGO, churches and individuals expecially the living faith church headquarters, TEAR Fund, Bread for the world , Hon. Solomon Dalung, Minister for youth and sports for their support to the IDPs camps in the state.
Our correspondent recalled that following the attack in some villages in Barkin Ladi and Riyom LGC which led to the killing of over 200 people the Simon Lalong led state government had set up a technical committee to work out modalities for the return of IDPs to their original abode.
COCIN in a Communique issued at the end of the 95th general church council in Jos also expressed thanks to God for the successful visit of the the Executive Council to President Muhammadu Buhari which was a solemn meeting to convey the pains and concerns of the church.
The Communique which was signed by by Rev. Dr. Dachollom Datiri COCIN President and Rev. Dr. Amos Mohzo COCIN General Secretary respectively appreciated the President for his warm reception and understanding believing he will fulfil his promise to take appropriate action on the issues raised.
The church further called on federal government to ensure that the 2019 general election is free , fair and credible while enjoining all her members to ensure that they vote credible candidates in the forthcoming general election in the country. The Communique added.
