Reps Bagos and wife Empower over 300 women and Youths to mark their 20th wedding anniversary

House of Representatives Member Representing Jos south /Jos East Federal Constituency of Plateau State Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos has empowered over 300 of his constituents consisting of indigent women mostly widows, Youths, and Orphans with a cash grant after training on animal production and husbandry to Mark his 20th Wedding anniversary.

The empowerment and training program supervised by the Federal College of Veterinary and Medical Laboratory Technology Vom tagged; “promotion and Development of Animal production and husbandry”, aimed at empowering the Participants to be self-employed, and also expand their farming methods for more productivity and profit.

Hon. Bagos Represented by his wife Mrs. Lydia Bagos, while presenting the cash grant to the Women said the Empowerment Scheme aims to provide financial and material support for rural women within the Jos South and Jos East constituency to go into farming for self-sustainability

“This empowerment program came at the time most need so that people will take advantage and go into farming especially husbandry to have sustainable means of livelihood now that the country has challenges of employment.

she said the training is to make the constituents become self-sustained and aimed at taking them out of poverty.

It will also support existing poverty alleviation and women empowerment programs and schemes to improve agricultural development in the Constituency

Chairman of the Project verification Agency, Federal College of Veterinary and Medical Laboratory technology Mr. Otunba Victor said Hon. Bagos has impacted his Constituents with numerous projects and empowerment programs.

“We are happy because the Member Representing Jos South/Jos East Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos has been doing great as he always makes sure that whatever he is doing gets to the beneficiaries, we are happy to be part of his development for his constituency.

Mr. Victor urged the beneficiaries to make use of the grant and multiply so that it will impact them, their families, and society, and if every Lawmaker in this country will do what Hon. Bagos has been doing on the Plateau across the nation, and across other constituencies live will have been better than this, because he is a Lawmaker that will collect and give back to society, especially the less privileged instead of putting it in his pocket.

He commended the Lawmaker to keep doing more of the good work he has started.

Beneficiary Ajiji Markus from Jos East commended the Lawmaker and expressed happiness that apart from the farming knowledge acquired, the Lawmaker also supported them financially and he promised to make use of the opportunity to better his life and that of his family.

Another Beneficiary and also an orphan and Secondary school student Tok Nzem Sylvester was full of joy and happiness for being a Beneficiary, saying she will use the grant given to her for her school fees and also invest in poultry farming based on the knowledge acquired from the training.

“I want to sincerely appreciate Hon. and Mrs. Bagos for this gesture to me, I pray for God to guide and increase him to take more Higher responsibilities in the years to come.

Also, a Widow Ngo Kenang Pwajok from Jos South could hide her joy after receiving the grant appreciated by Hon. Bagos says the grant will help to invest in livestock farming to enable her to pay her children’s school fees.

The over 300 Beneficiaries consisting of women and youths including widows and orphans went home with N80,000 each after the training to start up a business.
