In order to attract human capital and infrastructural development to his Constituency, State and the Nation, the Member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency Plateau State, Rep. Simon Mwadkwon on Wednesday 17th March, 2021 received the delegation of Taipei Trade Office in his Office.

The delegation led by Mr. Andy Yih-Ping Liu the Representative of Taipei Trade Office in Nigeria, his Wife and the First Secretary of the Taipei Trade Office in Nigeria, Mr. Roger Chen lauded the efforts and commitment of the Federal Lawmaker in attracting both human and infrastructural development to his people.

Mr. Andy Yih-Ping Liu disclosed that they were with the Member to discuss better ways of synergy and partnership as his Office has good relationship with the Federal government and National Assembly.
He said Nigeria and Taiwan shares the same value of democracy, rule of law and respect for human rights.

He spoke on the Taiwan Friendship Group with the National Assembly.
He said Constituents of the Member stand to benefit from the Tai Capacity building programme in Taiwan on technology and other innovations.

He said though there is no diplomatic tie between Taiwan and Nigeria, the bilateral relationship between the two Nations remain cordial.

The Member appreciated the delegation for the auspicious visit and expressed readiness to partner with them for the good of his Federal Constituency, State and National at large.

He hinted the delegation that he placed high premium on human capital and infrastructural development and look forward to a synergy and partnership that will benefit the people.
