“Youths Need to be Empowered, Supported and their capacities Built to Attain Their Full Potentials” – Rep. Simon Mwadkwon
The Member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency Plateau State, Rep. Simon Mwadkwon has lauded the contributions of the youths to National development and their resilience despite the challenges confronting them.
Rep. Mwadkwon posited that the youths need to be empowered, supported and their capacities built to achieve their full potentials.
The Federal Lawmaker charged the youths to take their studies seriously, be productive and live the lives that pleases God, the Creator.
The Legislator made these disclosures at the Cultural Day of the National Union of Berom Students (NUBES) National Body which held at the Twin Theatre of Plateau State Polytechnic Jos Campus.
The Lawmaker who was represented by his Director of Media & Publicity, Cmr. Friday Bako described the Youths as persons with multidimensional talents, gifts and potentials that must be harnessed for socio-economic benefit of the Nation.
The Member said youth empowerment through strategic human capital development remain top priority and hinted he will continue to legislate on issues that will positively affect the youth population as well as carry them along in his activities and programmes.
Rep. Simon Mwadkwon donated to the event and promised to continue to support the Students when the need arises.
In his remark, the National President of NUBES, Cmr. Badung Joshua Danjuma gave laudation to the Legislator and others who contributed to the success of the event.
The event featured paper presentations by Rwas James Nyango and Barr. Weng Emmanuel; decoration of Ngo Sarah Pam-Dagah as “Deloh NUBES” and presentation of Gifts to Zere/Suga NUBES and other Contestants.
The event also featured live performances by some Berom Youths who thrilled the guests.
Berom local dishes were also served to the delight of Members.
