KILLER HERDSMEN ATTACK ON MESSIAH COLLEGE MISSION COMPOUND GANA ROPP, A SERIOUS SECURITY THREAT – REP. MWADKWON, PH.D
The Honorable Member Federal House of Representatives for Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency Plateau State, Rep. Simon Mwadkwon, Ph.D has described the attack on Messiah College Mission Gana Ropp in Barkin Ladi LGA as a serious security threat to the area.
Rep. Dr. Simon Mwadkwon said while people are observing the Total Lockdown imposed in the State Crisis Merchants are out causing havoc on lives and property of the people.
The Member said well armed Fulani Militants invaded the residence of Rev. Canon Bayo James of Messiah College, Capro International Ministry in Ropp District of Barkin Ladi LGA shooting him and injuring other family Members.
I want to call on the government to take the necessary steps to ensure the attackers are arrested and punished according.
Our people cannot afford to be suffering the COVID-19 Challenge and still be attacked while adhering to government directives of the total lockdown.
The Federal Lawmaker therefore charged the Government to live up to its cardinal constitutional responsibility of protecting lives and property of the people.
He also charged the security agencies to rise up to their responsibilities by being more proactive, strategic and professional in forestalling any future attempt on the lives and property of the people.
While praying for speedy recovery to those seriously injured, Dr. Mwadkwon admonished the people to remain vigilant, be on their guard and increase community surveillance in order not to be carried unawares by their attackers.
The Legislator pray for restoration of peace in the Federal Constituency so that farmers can go about their farming activities without being molested and attacked.
He also prayed for God’s protection and divine intervention in the security situation bedevilling the Federal Constituency, the State & Nation at large.
