Member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Rep ID Gyang has, in conjunction with Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara Speaker, House of Representatives, brought relief materials and medicare to victims of terror attacks taking refuge in ten (10) IDP camps in both Barikin Ladi & Riyom LGs of Plateau state.

The two day visit of Saturday 14th and Monday 16th July 2018 witnessed the provision of Medicare, Food and Sanitary items.

A team of Medical personnel volunteered to treat and administer drugs procured by Rep ID Gyang to both children and adults on ailments such as;
1. DIARRHEA
2. VOMITING
3. ANEMIA
4. INFECTIONS(respiratory track infection, pneumonia, typhoid fever, urinary track infection etc)
5. INTESTINAL WORMS
6. FEVER & PAIN
7. MULTIVITAMINS
8. SCABIES
9. MOSQUITO NETS
10.MALARIA PREVENTION
11. PEPTIC ULCER. Including pregnancy kits for pregnancy care.

Food, soaps, Vaseline and Sanitary items sourced through the intervention and assistance of Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara, Speaker,  House of Representatives,were distributed to the IDPs in all the camps visited at
Rawuru, Gwakim, Kungte, Sangasa, Kworos, Gassa, Heipang, Ban, Geo Sciences Centre Bukuru, Riyom & Rahoss.

Rep ID Gyang again reirterated the need for government to speed up its promise to reclaim and return all lands under illegal occupation by killer herdsmen in Plateau state to resettle the ancestral owners just as is presently being done to lands recovered from Boko Haram occupation by the Military in the North East region.

He urge government, NGOs, well spirited individuals and organisations to continue to assist the IDPs.
