The member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency, Barr. Dr. I. D. Gyang has continued his visit to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of the attacks on Shonong with visitation to the Camps in Riyom LGA, Plateau State.

Barr. I. D. Gyang who was in company of his wife and some of his Aides encouraged the people to remain prayerful and dedicated to God.

He said all plans by the killers to wipe them from the surface of the earth would fail.

He said the plans of the attackers are to kill the people and occupy their lands.

He called on government at all levels to live up to their constitutional responsibilities of protecting lives and property of the citizens while calling on the security agencies to be more professional, objective and unbiased in discharging their official obligations.

He called on government agencies such as NEMA, SEMA and other spirited individuals to assist the people with their needs.

He thanked the host communities for helping the displaced persons.

The District Heads of Riyom and Bachi who spoke separately thanked Barr. I. D. Gyang for swiftly coming to the aid of the people with relief materials while urging the people to remain calm and law-abiding to their host communities.

Those at hand to receive him were District Head of Riyom, HRH Da Samuel Jok, District Head of Bachi, HRH Da Gyang Dalyop, Gwom Tahoss HRH Da Nani Manja , Gwom Jol HRH Da Danladi Taje, Gwom Rim HRH Da Gyang Dahoro Takama, Gwom Lwa HRH Da Bwede Dangyang, Gwom Kwi HRH Da Joshua Dung, Gwom Bangai HRH Da Yakubu Jebu and many others.

The IDPs in the camps visited were over one thousand, mostly women and children.
