Hon Beni Lar was over the weekend Awarded best performing legislator langtang North & South Federal Constituency by the Plateau State Indigenes Development Association ( PSIDA) Abuja.

The association celebrated the maiden edition of the Plateau state festival of arts & culture at the old parade ground Garki Abuja.

A statement signed by Mr Dogo Nanzing, S.A on media & publicity to Hon Beni Lar reads;

The colorful event show cases beautiful cultural displays by different ethnicities of the state.

The event was well attended by plateau sons and daughters living in Abuja as well as top political office holders from the state.

Highpoint of the event was the presentation of an award for outstanding representation of Langtang North/ South federal constituency to Hon Beni Lar by his Excellency, the deputy governor of Plateau State Prof. Sonni Tyoden.

In her speech, Hon Beni Lar thanked God for the enablement to serve her people, she said” Today is a day of great joy, the day we are honoring our culture, our tradition as a unique people of plateau.

There’s no culture or tradition in Nigeria that you will find that is as beautiful as what you have seen here today. I want to thank the president of PSIDA & his team for putting together this wonderful occasion, it has been institutionalized & will be a yearly event.

I also want to say that the people of plateau have a lot to offer to Nigeria, we have human natural resources that cannot be found in any other part of Nigeria, plateau has the kind of climate that is conducive for growing exotic crops like Irish potatoes, apples, strawberries acha ( hungry rice), all our famous foods cannot be found in any part of Nigeria. That alone is a selling point for the state.

Plateau is blessed with solid minerals, virtually every local government has mineral deposits like copper, zinc in wase & other parts of the state can never be found in such large quantities in any other part of the country.

Plateau is blessed & we are poised to become one of the richest states in Nigeria by the grace of God.

I want us to continue in this spirit of unity, spirit of togetherness because it will not only promote harmony but it will promote development in our state. I believe anyone here who is not from plateau will wish he was from plateau & he will want to live, buy a house, settle or invest in plateau just by attending this occasion.
Plateau has so much to offer to Nigeria.

Thank God for the leadership in the house of representatives, we are blessed to have our son Hon Idris Ahmed Maje as the deputy speaker of the house. He is doing so much to bring power, electricity to us. He has promoted all of us, PDP / APC in the house of representatives & plateau is gaining so much because of him.

I thank the executive governor of plateau state for the roads he is completing & I pray he will complete that of Langtang North / South Federal Constituency as well” .
