HON.DACHUNG MUSA BAGOS OFF SETS HOSPITAL BILLS OF CONSTITUENTS TO MARK 100 DAYS IN THE GREEN CHAMBER IN JOS UNIVERSITY TEACHING HOSPITAL.
Member Representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Dachung Musa Bagos over the weekend, reached the traditional landmark 100 days in office at the green chamber of the National Assembly by identifying with the less privileged in society through settling the hospital bills of some patients at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH). He prayed for quick recovery of the patients who were suffering from different levels of ailments and injuries.
Constituents have expressed delight in the modest milestones reached within the period the member has been in the green chamber. Hon Bagos has so far sponsored about 23 bills and motions as well as distributed fertilizers to his constituents for the year’s farming season as well as visited Districts and wards under his constituency on a “Thank You Tour”.
In line with his vision and goals of ensuring that the productive capacities of the youths are unleashed in keeping with his motto of Equipping the Next Generation, the member also initiated a scholarship scheme to empower about 1,000 students of both secondary and tertiary institutions within his constituency as a contribution to improving access to education.
It will be recalled that one of the highlights of the members’ contribution in the house was his call on the federal government to take seriously, the plight of victims of xenophobic attacks in South Africa. Just last week, the member also on the floor of the house, called on the federal government to as a matter of urgency, provide cancer centers across the country due to the rising cases of deaths resulting from the near absence of equipments & facilities for the treatment of cancer patients.
