It has come to the notice of the Jos South Management commitee Chairman,Hon Dachung Choji of a letter making the rounds on social Media calling for the sack of the chairman signed by some dissolved supervisory councillors of Jos south Local Government area addressed to the executive Governor of Plateau state.

It is important to first of all reiterate the fact that it was his Excellency,Governor Simon Bako Lalong that deemed it fit to appoint the Chairman and the supervisory councillors in the first instance on the 9th of October 2019 and he is the one that has the constitutional rights to terminate their appointment in consonance with the house of Assembly.

Recently, on the 9th of July,2020 the Executive Governor through the house of Assembly terminated the appointment of the supervisory Councillors while in his wisdom,he extended that of the LGA chairman alongside three of his colleagues.

Since assumption of office the chairman has made deliberate efforts to carry everyone along without fear or favour.

However,some feel they deserve more than others in the scheme of how things ought to be done at the grassroots which is the cardinal strata of Government in positively impacting on the lives of it’s citizen’s at the third tier of Governance.

“Our pact is with the people and it will not be business as usual in Jos South Local Government,let me place it on record that most of the supervisory Councillors reached out to me before hand that they won’t go down alone and I was at loss to what they what they meant until today”

The chairman is working assiduously with the vision and mission of the rescue Government of Plateau state in its prudent redistribution of resources and ensuring that all the projects started by his predecessors is attended to,rather than embarking on white elephant projects that cannot add value to the development of the LGA at a time the economy of the state and Local Government is not encouraging.

It is glaring that the only crime of the chairman is that he has refused to service some few individuals pocket that feel they deserve 110% financial benefits and patronage from the local Government despite the fact that the Chairman’s budget has not been approved since assumption of office.

Nonetheless,The Chairman is focused and committed to dialogue with all genuine stakeholders, progressive party Faithfuls, non-governmental organisations and most of all the good people of Jos South that deserve good governance at the grassroots.

For avoidance of doubt, these are some of the achievements of the Chairman within the little time frame of his appointment for the records;

1.Roofing of LGA Secretariat at 90% completion.

2. Jamb center at old Secretariat in Bukuru at 90% completion rate.

1. A Bridge at Tanchol gyel is at 75% completion.

4.A Fertilizer store at 90% at the Secretariat

5.Completion of shopping complex at Bukuru with a Police post at the present shopping Complex off DB Zang road

6.On going renovation of guest house at kuru

On Personal relationship with staff ,the chairman have upset some of the arrears he met ground.

Hon Dachung Choji is focused on delivering the mandate given to him by his Excellency,Barr Simon Bako Lalong on behalf and for the Good people of Jos south Local Government Area and no amount of distractions will deter him from achieving it by the special grace of God.
