Rayfield Golf Club Expels Caddy for Untoward Behaviour

The Rayfield Golf Club 1913 Jos, Plateau State has expelled one of its Caddies by name Abdulrahman Rabiu for unruly behaviour to his colleague.

The decision to expel the Caddy was on account of physical assault he inflicted on another Caddy with a sharp object believed to be a Razor blade during a fight between the duo.

The act didn’t go down well with the management of the Rayfield Golf Club who took the decision of expelling the caddy following the report of the disciplinary Committee to serve as deterrent to others.
Why the Caddy was carrying such sharp object while at work remained unknown.

The expelled Caddy was said to be a friendly and easy going Person and many are still surprised why he could not keep his cool when he had a misunderstanding that led to a fight with another Caddy.

A former Permanent Secretary Plateau State Ministry of Finance, Nde Isaac Wadak a one-time Secretary of the Rayfield Golf Club and active Member expressed great dismay at the behaviour of the expelled Caddy and said the action was an ugly development.

Nde Wadak said “The case of two fighting should be handled by the disciplinary committee in the prescribed manner. The case of attempted murder should be referred to the law enforcement agency, because they have the capacity and structure to unearth and manage any deep-lying issues involved therein.
There is the need to institute continuous periodic training for caddies; monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or annually, in which both technical and ethical issues are handled”

He further stated that “We must interrogate and scrutinise our Caddies recruitment process in order to restore confidence and safety in the club. I recommend we also provide First-aid materials and have a trained personnel on ground in the club always.
So this is gruesome and horrifying”
