Immediate past Chairman Plateau State Youth Council Dr. Fabong Jemchang on Monday handed over all necessary documents to the Plateau state ministry of Youths and Sports.
Speaking at the occasion in Jos, Jemchang said having been served with the press release from the ministry of Youth and Sports development Plateau state last saturday on the decision of the ministry to take over the PYC ,i forward my handover notes .
He said the Council under his leadership came into being on May 22 2017 and the tenure ended terminated May 22 2020 .
The ministry of Youths and sports development through the commissioner allocated 3 offices with tables and 8 single chairs to the council .,files of the last adminstration were handed over to me after i took over in May 2017 by Sir Emmanuel Dashe who is the EX Officio of the council .
He said ” ” I wish to on behalf of the EXCO , the central working committee , the 17 LGA chairmen of the Youth council and Youths of Plateau state hand over the properties of PYC .
“We shall give account of our stewardship to the Youths council at the General Assembly to be organised by the ministry after the Covid 18 pandemic .
Plateau state ministry of youth and sport development has evoked the doctrine of necessity directing the State EXCO of the Plateau Youth Council to hand over all necessary documents to the ministry pending the lifting of ban on public gatherings due to covid-19 global pandemic. This was due to the fact that the tenure of the EXCO has expired on the 22nd May, 2020
Fabong before now had said that he was determined more than ever to midwife the process of a new administration immediately Government lifts the ban on social gathering.
Fabong made this known while addressing newsmen in Jos the Plateau state capital on Friday .
He thanked the Youths of Plateau for their support at all times.
