The Annual Plateau Social Media Awards, a platform that celebrates excellence in the use of social media for social good is billed to hold on Easter Monday, 18th April 2022 in Jos, Plateau State.

The Organisers of the innovative and widely acclaimed awards & webinar session are rejigging the online voting process to add more credibility and professionalism to the entire procedure.

In this light, a technical committee headed by Dr. Daniel Meshak will oversee the nominations and online voting technique for this year’s award (PSMA 4.0). The list of the Technical Committee inaugurated on 5th of January 2022 include;

The technical committee will independently collect all data online, interpret; and release a list of all winners of the various categories at the end of the voting exercise.

In an attempt to restructure the organisation of the PSMA team, Mr Chamdang “Chamzy” Bako will serve as the Chairman Planning Committee of PSMA 4.0 to oversee the planning and execution of the event.

The theme for this year’s webinar is; “Cyber Warfare- Social Media & Data Privacy”.

A lot of social media users daily complain about their accounts being hacked, this is simply because they have partial or non-existent knowledge about cyber security and the need for data protection.

The PSMA Webinar will address this online security threats with a host of other professional Cyber Security issues by experts and resource persons who will be on ground to do justice to the topics.

The Plateau Social Media Awards (PSMA) started in 2019 recognizing excellence in content creation, innovation and awards voted talents in various fields, who have carved a niche for themselves by leveraging on the various social media platforms.
