In order to increase the penetration of Information and Communication (ICT) and to enhance Information Technology Training at the Secondary School level, the PRTV Berom Community under the aegis of “Tula” has donated two (2) Desktop Computer to the leadership of the Berom Educational and Cultural Organization (BECO) for onward delivery to the BECO Comprehensive High School Kwi Riyom LGA, Plateau State.
While delivering the items, Da Yakubu Taddy who was flanked by other colleagues hinted that the gesture was a response to the clarion call by the BECO President, Da Gyang Dudu of some immediate needs of the School after a careful needs assessment.
He further disclosed that the computers were acquired from the Monthly contributions of Berom Staff who are working at the Plateau Radio Television (PRTV).
He said it is the group’s modest way of giving back to the Berom Nation.
“In the age of Information and Communication Technology, some schools do not have a single computer”

“No matter how small, touch a life today” he concluded.
The President of BECO, Da Gyang Dudu while receiving the items at the BECO Secretariat Jankaro Street Jos South LGA commended the donors for their efforts in identifying with the School and meeting one of its immediate needs.
Da Dudu said enrolment at the School has improved hence the need for computers in order for the Students to have knowledge of ICT.
He said the items will be put to effective use to benefit the students in this jet age that is driven by Information Technology (IT).
He appreciated other partners and swift response of the Tula Berom PRTV, calling on other illustrious Berom Sons and Daughters to emulate the kind gesture.
