Prof. Dakas C.J. Dakas, SAN Donates Food Items to Less Privileged in Jos, Plateau State

Jos – Today, Professor Dakas C. J. Dakas, a renowned Legal Luminary and Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) through his Foundation donated food items to certain vulnerable in some parts of Jos, Plateau State.

In her remarks in the places visited while presenting the items, Barr (Mrs) Beatrice Dakas said the gesture was necessitated by their present predicament as well as the adverse effect of the COVID-19 on livelihood and economic activities.

She said a 15 year old drew their attention to the urgent needs of some displaced persons and they were touched to assist. She said it is important as human beings with empathy to always take the burden of one another.

She encouraged the beneficiaries to trust in God and remain positive saying their predicament is temporal and they will get out of same in no distant time.

Mrs Dakas charged them to maintain good personal hygiene, adhere strictly to all health protocols and government directives aimed at stemming the dreaded Coronavirus Pandemic.

Some of the beneficiaries who were in tears appreciated the humanitarian intervention of Prof. CJ Dakas and prayed God to bless him the more so he can impact more people positively. They thanked the donor for identifying with them at the trying moment they are going through.

Mr. Chun Gyang Yakubu spoke on the risk and health hazard in some of the places visited and called on government and other well spirited individuals to emulate the effort of Prof. Dakas Foundation. He lauded the effort of Prof. Dakas CJ Dakas Foundation for coming to the aid of the people.

Those who benefited from the gestures were Orphans, Internally Displaced Persons, Widows and persons living with disabilities.

Places visited were the uncompleted building with about 32 Households, Zawan Orphanage, Federal Lowcost where over 70 Widows were assisted & Disability Rights Commission at Wase Close where persons with disabilities were also assisted.

The Food items donated were Bags Maize, Garri, Beans and Sugar.
