Probity Tribe hail Governor Mutfwang for ordering other Transition Committee Members to be below 40 Years, urges him to scrutinize list to reward hardwork

A group refered to as ‘The Probity Tribe’ has commended Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State for ordering that other members of the Transition Committees for the 17 LGAs must be persons below the age of 40.

In a statement issued to journalists by the group in Jos the Plateau State Capital on Friday 16th June 2023, the said that the pronouncement by Governor Mutfwang is a testament of the his earlier stand on training and mentorship of youths to take over leadership in Plateau State.

The however called on the Governor to scrutinize the lists from the 17 LGAs to ensure that youths who worked and their efforts verified by the defunct Directorate of Youth Mobilization led by Mr Hilter Joshua Pwajok are rewarded.

They drew the attention of the Governor to the fact that some stakeholders whose names were removed because they were above 60 years where bringing names of family, friends and cronies who didn’t participate in the electioneering campaign leading to his victory, stressing that the Governor should ask Hitler Joshua Pwajok to verify the names of youths forward to ensure that those who laboured are duly rewarded.

Recall that Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang had during his first June 12th Democracy Day Town Hall with the Theme “Unpacking the Time is Now Vision”, announced that the since his administration could not achieve giving young people the opportunity to be chairmen of the Transition Committees of the 17 LGAs, he directed that the rest of the persons that will make up the Transition Committees for the 17 LGAs must be persons below 40 years of age.

This according to the Governor will make a statement on their resolve to involve women and youths in governance in the State under his administration, and mentor them for greater responsibility and also downs suspicions about the role of youths in the recent Management Committee leadership.

Governor Mutfwang made this known during a Live Town Hall Meeting organized by the Director of Press and Public Affairs to the Governor of Plateau State, Gyang Bere in conjunction with the Ag. General Manager, Plateau Radio, Television Corporation (PRTVC), Mr Yakubu Taddy.

The live event which held at the Studio of PRTVC in Rayfield had the theme “ It had in attendance the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, his Deputy Mrs Josephine Piyo, outgoing Speaker, Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Nuhu Ayuba Abok, Secretary to the Government of Plateau State, Arch Samuel Nanchang Jatau, Head of Civil Service Mrs Rauta Dakok, Attorney General/Commissioner of Justice Philemon Audu Daffi, Chief of Staff, Mr Jerry Satmak, State EXCO of the PDP led by the State Chairman Hon Chris Hassan, recently appointed Management Committee Chairmen of the 17 LGAs, the Press, etc.
