President Muhammadu Buhar has appointed the Director General, Plateau State Contributory Health Care Management Agency (PLASCHEMA) Dr. Fabong Jemchang Yildam as member of 774, 000 Post COVID-19 Jobs Committee for Plateau state.

The appointment of Dr. Fabong who has been a vibrant and capacity Plateau Youth leader for years into the committee of selection is an indication that more Youths will be considered.

The jobs is an initiative of the Buhari Administration to assist Nigerians in mitigating against the pandemic for a three-month job between October-December, 2020 and will be paid directly by the CBN and Each local government has been allotted 1,000 slots.

The Plateau State Committee is headed by the Former Secretary to the Government of Plateau State Hon. Rufus Bature as a Chairman and the committee has a total of 20 members each from States.

The Federal government had on Monday inaugurate the various committees in all 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The committees would be in charge of selecting the 1,000 persons per Local Government Area in respect of the Special Public Works Programme of the Federal Government.

The composition of the Committee members includes the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and Three Reps of Traditional Rulers from the three Senatorial Districts (members), while One Representative of the State Governor (member), Market Woman Leader (member).

Also to be on the committee are State Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) or a Rep (member), State Chairman of Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs or a Rep (member), State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers or a Rep (member).

Others are Six Reps from three youth organisations (two each from each of the three Senatorial Districts (one male & one female) – member, One Rep from a recognized Civil Society Organisation (CSO) – (member) and Two Reps from Institutions/Stakeholders representing interests peculiar to that State (members).
