For the many years that I have being in Politics, I have contested an election, paste posters, campaign vigorously for politicians. Some will go ahead and win while some lose. But that’s the spirit of the game anyway. The merit of this commentary is the ability of both the winner and the loser to come back and say thank you regardless of the outcome at the polls. This is the story of Chief Ephraim Usman, who sees politics as value addition to humanity and not a means for self aggrandizement.

The transformational leadership intervention on the educational sector where the commissioner has embarked on a personal intervention of building standard two classroom block for Waipa Village and Shei communities all in Kanam LGA is not only commendable but legendary for a government appointee in a contemporary Nigerian politics. What endeared him first was not politics but humanity, seeing the deplorable condition of learning of our youngsters, he was moved out of compassion by making a declarative statement of returning regardless of the outcome of the election.

Today, to the glory of God, my eyes have seen, my lips can testify and my Pen will write of a promise kept my Chief Ephraim Usman, the honorable commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs, under the leadership of our indefatigable leader, His Excellency, Barr. Caleb M. Mutfwang, the Executive Governor of Plateau State.

We sincerely appreciate the Governor, for appointing Chief Ephraim Usman, who has been balancing the government pressure from behind the scene. He is truly a definition of a round peg in a round hole.
