A top Contestant for the Governorship Ticket of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) who was a former Chairman Mangu Local Government Council, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang has said if given the mandate both at the Primary and main elections he will unite the people and provide credible leadership which will enhance greater development in Plateau State.

The legal luminary and Technocrat made this known when he visited the PDP State Secretariat to meet with the Executives and other party stakeholders and supporters to intimate them of his intention to contest for Governorship having purchased, completed and submitted his nomination form.

“I have come here this Afternoon not just to fulfill formalities but as one of the Aspirants who have duly filled the nomination form and I will like to also pray that as I leave the premises of our great Party today, that I am not leaving as an Aspirant but I am leaving as the Candidate” he said.

He stated that being well known in the Party and having sacrificed for the party, he is optimistic of the support of the party.
“I am a consummate party Man, we have fought many battles together for the preservation of this Party, I have committed myself to ensuring that the PDP survives on the Plateau and by the grace of God PDP will survive, because the future of Plateau State is tie to the survival of PDP and by the grace of God PDP will remain and become stronger because Plateau shall rise again”
“We are committed to ensuring that the lost glory of Plateau State is restored” he posited.

He said he is burdened with the huge burden of the State having been living in pains for the past seven Years stating that Plateau State which was a land well respected among other States in Nigeria has today fallen from its known glory.
He promised to wipe the tears of the people of Plateau State if elected Governor of the State.
He said he is seeking the support of the party to lead the onslaught against the APC on account of the damage the ruling party has done to Plateau State and Nigeria as a whole considering its undemocratic disposition which has hindered the needed growth and development in the Country.

He said for people who love Plateau, Nigeria and democracy, the task of chasing APC out of government is a task that must be done.
He said for that to be achieved, there is the need for the people to be united and that calls for a Leader who will be a rallying point.
“I am here to offer myself as a Leader who will not only unite the PDP but will unite the people of Plateau State. I am desirous to see every part of Plateau State in peace” he said.
He hinted if given the mandate he will provide leadership that will reclaim the boundaries of Plateau State and make sure the people live in peace so that all the economic potentials embedded in the State will be unleashed thereby taking the State out of the poor States’ list.
He said the State is blessed with enormous natural resources and clement weather that must be harnessed and taken advantage of to achieve prosperity.
“We are people who are industrious and productive; we ought not to be among the poor but I realized that for progress there must be sound leadership and I am here to offer myself as a Leader who will move Plateau State forward” he said.
He commended the Executives of the party for providing visionary leadership.

The Chairman of the PDP in the State, Hon. Chris Hassan flanked by other Party Executives appreciated the Aspirant and his supporters promising to provide a level playing ground for all the Aspirants during the forthcoming Primary election.
