POH Entrepreneurship Training: Disruptive Thinking Necessary for Exceptional Business Prosperity – Nde Ezekiel Gomos, OFR

It was a fruitful, educating, engaging and impactful Saturday as Plateau Our Heritage (POH) in collaboration with Nde Ezekiel Gomos, OFR organized an entrepreneurship and business management training workshop for Members and other individuals.

The Business Expert and Entrepreneur, Nde Ezekiel Gomos, OFR said what is needed for business prosperity globally is disruptive thinking.
The Business Consultant hinted that disruptive thinking is the new way to go in idea generation in the present day describing it as a critical innovation skill; a way of thinking that challenges the traditional way of doing things in an organization or market; a way of thinking that produces an unconventional outcome and a way of thinking that turns consumer expectation outside down.

He disclosed that the results of disruptive thinking can often be something quite radical that transforms an experience for a customer.

He said results of disruptive thinking include the invention of google, Facebook, Amazon, Konga etc.

He charged prospective Entrepreneurs not to see money making as their major target when venturing into businesses rather creating value, problem solving and exceptional service delivery should be their drive.

Engr. Solomon Chikan on his part said entrepreneurship is the mindset of creating value and solving problems.
While saying the target of any business should be to provide services or product to meet the needs of the people (consumers), he charged existing and potential Entrepreneurs to be honest in their dealings.

In his presentation on sources of finance, Mr. Samson Ishaku Bugama a Finance Expert and Agriculturalist urged the participants and entrepreneurs to focus on ploughing back and saving profits made from their businesses to achieve business expansion than spending on activities that will not grow their businesses.
He said all finances invested into businesses should be treated as loans for seriousness in the businesses.

In his remarks, Hon. Alex Yola Kwapnoe the Chairman of Plateau Our Heritage who was represented by the Assistant Secretary, Dr (Mrs) Plangsat Bitrus Dayil commended Nde Ezekiel Gomos for the training and charged government at all levels to create a enabling, conducive, safe and secured environment for business to thrive.

Dr. Plangsat said business can only succeed when the security of lives & property are guaranteed. She said businesses cannot prosper in a Soviet that is not safe and secured.

She disclosed that the insecurity challenges bedeviling the Nation are surmountable if government and security agencies will be more proactive and come up with more strategic measures.

The training held at Jos Business School Jos and presentations made focused on the following topics; Why do business?, succeeding in Business: The Model Canvas, Raising Funds for Business, Succeeding in Business: Conversations around Plateau State and Succeeding in Business: The Business Plan.
