A Member of The National Assembly Representing Shendam/Mikang/Quanpan Federal Constituency, Komsol Alphonsus Longgap has reiterated his desire to have one of the best reunions staged by his alma mata, the prestigious former craft school,now Government College Pankshin.
In a chat recently with the National Publicity Secretary of the Pankshin Old Boys Associatio,POBA Mr Kenzy Ngupar
in Abuja, Hon. Komsol said as an association he once served as its National President he will stand by it through the times.
The Lawmaker who is the sole sponsor of the 2020 POBA CONVENTION scheduled for December 11th-13th hinted that already over Fifteen Lawmakers from the National Assembly including those serving on the Education Committee,Two Minsters of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as well as other stakeholders in the education sector have assured they will honour the convention and contribute towards further impacting positively education in Government College Pankshin and Plateau State in general.
Hon. Komsol added that already he has began intervening in one of the immediate pressing needs of the school as he has directed the construction of upgraded iron/wooden desks for students to use which was one of the immediate needs to assist students sit and receive lessons saying they will be donated during the convention.
He has asked the POBA National Body to immediately release the tentative schedule of activities for the convention so that other critical areas such as accommodation,and entertainment needs of members can be arranged before the convention.
The Vibrant lawmaker who has effectively represent his Constituents in the 9th National Assembly said he is already liaising with individuals, groups and organizations to see to the success of the three days event in Plateau State.
The POBA 2020 National Convention holds in Jos and is expected to attract dignitaries from all walks of life considering the role the school once played as a citadel of churning out technically advanced and well educated Nigerians from very tender ages.
