News at ViewPointNigeria news desk indicates that some Youths in Plateau State under the aegis of Youth Vanguard for Good Governance (YVGG), yesterday threw their weight behind the selection and subsequent clearance of the state’s ambassadorial designate, Dr Bawa Abdullahi Wase, calling on President Muhammadu Buhari to ignore all petitions suggesting that he is not a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The group said petitions written by two groups against the nomination of Dr Bawa were frivolous.

It described Wase as a reputable Nigerian and son of Plateau, who had made the people of Wase Local Government Area and the state proud.

The YVGG Coordinator, Barrister Nanzing Jibrin Bani, a lecturer with the Faculty of Law at the Plateau State Polytechnic, recalled that similar petitions had been written against the appointment of Hon. Ibrahim Dasuki Nakande as minister under late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua.

Bani said: “It has been the trend on the Plateau; some people had written petitions against former Minister of Information, Dasuki Nakande that he is not from Plateau State but today, the same man has established a radio station that is preaching peace and has employed people of the state.
