Plateau Youth Council (PYC) Set to Hold Summit on Peace and Security

With the prevailing security challenges bedeviling the state, the Plateau State Youth Council (PYC) is set to hold a one-day Peace and Security Summit aimed at bringing together Youth leaders across different ethnic and religious backgrounds to discuss extensively and come up with practical way forward towards achieving stable peace in the State.

In a statement signed by the Publicity Secretary, Cmr. Walshak Kumwen, the summit is slated for Saturday 20th January, 2024 at 1pm at Azi Nyako Youth Centre Dadin Kowa Jos South LGA, Plateau State.

The Summit would have as Guest Speakers Dr. Chris Kwaja and Mr. Luka Pampe, as well as the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Division Jos/Commander Operation Safe Haven Major General Abdulsalam Abubakar and Plateau State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Hon. Ephraim Usman as Guest Discussants.

The theme of the Summit is “Redefining Plateau Youths Participation in Stemming the Tide of Community Attacks in Local Governments and Surveillance Strategies”.
