Plateau State Governor, Mr. Simon Lalong, says the government will encourage the re-attainment of sports glory in the state.

Lalong, who spoke at the Rwang Pam Stadium where he watched the NNL fix­ture between Plateau United and Kogi United on Saturday, said he would also support every sector in the state to guarantee sustainable development.

Asked if he would donate cash award to the Plateau United players after the team’s 1-0 win gave it promotion to the Glo Pre­mier League, Lalong said: “I will make a pronouncement on my 100 days in office.

“I will implore everyone to await my declaration on the day.”
