The Plateau state council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists is set to honour Alhaji DR Dayyabu Yusuf Garga,the Honorable Commissioner Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs.

According to reports monitored in Jos the state capital the award on Garga is expected to be part of the ongoing NUJ Press week put together by the Council and expected to climax with a colloquium and Dinner/Award night on Friday 7th September at the Eliel Events Center,Gold and Base Jos.

According to sources who got hint of the nomination of Garga by the NUJ for an Award said he deserves it because of his sterling leadership qualities which could be seen from his handling of affairs of his Ministry and also coordinating activities across the Seventeen LGAs of Plateau state without any rancour.

They said he has also ensured a very healthy relationship with the media and always readily available whenever needed to offer clarification on issues that has to do with his office.

His very large followership in Kanam and across several LGAs has endeared him to a lot of people and attracting several recognition from within and outside the country.

Sources hinted that DR Dayyabu Yusuf Garga who will be among some of the recipients on that day deserves it considering how he has shown commitment and served the Lalong Administration in Plateau State and the people in general.
