Gov Lalong’s wife Regina gives hope to orphans

Wife of the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Mrs Regina Lalong has called on good spirited individuals to devout more attention to the welfare of orphans and the underprieveledged.
Mrs Lalong who stated this during a visit to orphanages in Jos and environs, urged members of the public to support efforts put in by care-givers through constant visitation love and care.
Mrs Lalong who was accompanied by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Sonni Tyoden urged them not to lose hope but trust in the Lord who is the father of the fatherless.
In her remarks, the State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Anna Izam said the visit is in commemoration of this year’s Orphans Day of the African Child. The Commissioner further applauded Mrs Lalong for putting smiles on the faces of the children.
The managers of all the orphanages visited expressed gratitude to the wife of the Governor for the visit which according to them, has rekindled hope to the children.
The visits were rounded up with the presentation of food items, household utensils and learning aids.
