The Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Yakubu Yakson Sanda has met with delegates of the All Progressive Congress (APC) soliciting for their votes ahead of the party’s primaries.
Sanda who tour three Wards of Kasuru, Kadamo and Jengre in his second tour of Pengana State Constituency where party delegates promised to returned him into the 10th Assembly not only at the party primaries but the general elections come 2023.
According to the APC Chairman of Kasuru Ward Hon. Hosea Simon and the Ward Chairman of Kadamo Hon. Anthony Ibrahim both assured the aspirant of the resolved of the party’s delegates to returned him back and urged him to ensure that other line up programmes for the Constituency fully executed.
The Duo is their separate remarks recalled that Pengana Constituency has never been so lucky to produced a Speaker in the State Assembly since the inception of democracy in the State and the country at large.
The Speaker received Royal blessings when he visited the Ugo Kimap, Mal. Adams Machu Abaps the District Head of Amo, Pengana Chiefdom of Bassa LGA at his Palace.
The Royal Father who blessed the aspirant reminded him of the needs to construct a befitting Palace as well as provide an official vehicle amongst others things for the upliftment of his people.
The Speaker had earlier on visited Four Wards out of the 7 Wards of Pengana Constituency commended them for their support and peaceful coexistence.
In the words of Sanda, “I hold you with high esteem because you people are among those who have made me to be where i am to day serving you people with fairness to all.
“I am here to equally appeal to you to give us this support so that we can retained our position in the Assembly.
“It will be good to move with the government in power to bring development. I must commend you people for peaceful irrespective of religion or tribes, we in Pengana are not known for any religious politics and let’s continue to sustain this values,” he posited.
