Plateau Southern Zone Elects First Female Senator, Prof. Nora Dadu’ut

First Ever Female Senator has been elected in Plateau State to represent the Plateau State Southern Zone at the Red Chamber of the National Assembly. She is Prof. Nora Dadu’ut.

Prof. Nora Daduut of the APC was declared winner of the 5th December, 2020 Plateau Southern Senatorial Zone Bye-election.

She pulled 83,104 to defeat her closest opponent and Candidate of the main opposition Party, the PDP, Rt. Hon. George Daika who scored 70,838 Votes.

Returning Officer of the Plateau Southern Senatorial Bye-election, Prof. Idris Amale declared Prof. Nora Winner and returned elected having won the highest votes cast and meeting other statutory requirements.

Prof. Nora took aggressive lead in Wase, Shendam, Qua’anpan and Mikang LGAs while Rt. Hon. George Daika pocketed Langtang North and Langtang South LGAs.

Plateau Southern Senatorial District is made up of 6 Local Government Area with 712 Polling Units.
