Plateau Rep. Simon Mwadkwon Describes the Demise of Former Dep. Senate President, Dr. Ibrahim Mantu as a National Loss

The Member representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency, Dr. Simon Mwadkwon has described the demise of an elder statesman, a Nationalist and a true Democrat, Sen. Ibrahim Nasiru Mantu, CFR as a great loss to the Nation.

The Federal Lawmaker who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Pharm. Chun John at the burial of Late Sen. Mantu at Gudu Cemetery Abuja described him as a humble personality, Unifier and a great Legislator whose political prowess was uncommon.

“As a Senator Plateau Central Zone from 1999-2007 and Deputy Senate President from 2001-2007, his political footprints, his robust legislative contributions and his impacts through human capital development remain unmatched”

He said the departure of the deceased from the earth is a monumental loss not only to his immediate family but to the State, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Family and Nation at large considering his meritorious service to the State and Nation at large.

He further stressed that the immense contributions of the deceased to Nation building and the sustenance of the Nation’s nascent democracy will be greatly missed.

He prayed God to comfort with his immediate Family, loved ones, Pyem Nation, Mangu LGA, Plateau State, the PDP Family and Nigeria over the irreplaceable loss.
