Plateau Peace Media Network Condemns Heipang Killings

Plateau Peace Media Network (PPMN) has condemned in strong terms the killings of 21 people in an early morning attack on Heipang Barkin Ladi LGA, Plateau State and called for enhanced security measures to forestall future reoccurrence.
Coordinator of the group, Matthew Tegha in a strong worded press text said the act is a grave affront to the values of peace, unity, and harmony the State stands for.

He appealed to the citizens to refrain from taking any actions that may further escalate tensions, but instead unite as a community and channel our energies toward supporting the victims’ families and assist those injured to recover fully.
The group said the attack was heinous and tragic.

“We implore the relevant authorities to take swift and decisive action to ensure the safety and security of our citizens. It is imperative that a comprehensive and robust security strategy be put in place to prevent such tragic events from reocurring. We call on law enforcement agencies to intensify efforts in investigating this attack, bringing the perpetrators to justice, and preventing any future acts of violence.

“The Plateau Peace Media Network advocates for enduring peace, dialogue, and understanding among all residents of our great state. Let us remember that unity is our strength, and by working together, we can overcome the challenges that threaten our peace and stability.

“We reiterate our commitment to fostering a peaceful and harmonious Plateau state for present and future generations. Let us honor the memory of the victims by standing united against violence and by advocating for a safer and more secure environment for all” he said.
