Plateau PDP State CTC Assume Offices, Laud Stakeholders while Assuring to Work for Party Unity and Progress

The State Caretaker Committee of the PDP in Plateau State assumed office while commending all stakeholders and supporters for the supports accorded them during their 4 year tenure as State Executive Committee. The National Secretariat of the party in a letter dated 6th May, 2020 and signed by the National Organizing Secretary of the Party, Col (Rtr) Austin Akobundu reconstituted all State Executive Members of the Plateau State Chapter into State Caretaker Committee prior to the expiration of their tenure.

The State CTC admonished all party faithfuls to join hand towards the unity and progress of the party.

In a Statement signed by the State Caretaker Publicity Secretary, Hon. John Akans, the State CTC commended and appreciates all loyal and committed party members across the state who have stood through thick and thin for the survival of our great party.

PRESS STATEMENT

Our dear PDP faithfuls, as you are all aware our tenure as elected state executives ended yesterday 10th May 2020, accordingly, the National Working Committee(NWC) upon the expiration of our tenure directed that inline with Section 29(2)(b) and 31(2)(e) of our party’s constitution 2017 as amended, also approved the re-constitution of the present Exco as caretaker committee in order to avoid any vacuum pending when the state congress will be held.

Consequently, we wish to acknowledge and appreciate the amazing efforts, support and commitment of our leaders particularly our BOT members Sen Dr Jonah David Jang, Amb Fidelis NanmiapTapgun, Dist Sen Ibrahim Nasiru Mantu our 2019 governorship candidate Gen Sen Dr Jeremiah Timbut Useni, our senator Distinguished Sen. I. D. Gang our house of Representatives members Hon Beni Lar Hon Solomon Maren Hon Dr Simon Mwadkwon, Hon Musa D Bagos, our house of assembly members Hon Peter Gyendyeng Hon Nanbol Listic, Hon Pirfa Ntyem, Hon Bala Fwanje, Hon Esther Dusu, Hon Fom Gwottson, Hon Musa A. Agah Hon Timothy Dantong Hon Zingtim, the SEC members , Elders Forum chairman,all our Elders, stakeholders_men, women and youths. To all of you we say thank you.

We also wish to at this moment commend and appreciate all our loyal and committed party members across the state who have stood through thick and thin for the survival of our great party.
Thank you for your resilience. We plead that all should remain calm and focused as we continue with the struggles that will unite all members.

We encourage members to join us in the struggles to build trust, unity and in mobilizing and educating Plateau people towards highlighting the ills of this government and assuring the populace that the future is better and brighter under the PDP led government.

We at this juncture appeal to all of us to set aside all personal differences and come together and work for the progress of the party
As the past exco and now caretaker committee we are very much aware of complaints/petitions in some wards and LGA’s. These issues will be viewed holistically in the spirit of fairness, justice, peace and reconciliation. Our main focus now is to have dedicated, selfless and visionary minds to move our party forward.

In the meantime continue to observe the social distancing regulations, wear your face masks and always wash your hands with soap under a running water. COVID-19 is real, let us together stop the spread.
