People Democratic Party (PDP) members from Plateau State chapter have started mending their broken walls of friendship as they meet in Abuja the Federal Capital over the sack of the 14 Local Government Council Chairmen.

The members cutting across PDP lawmakers, Party Executives and supporters, have continued to meet in different locations in Abuja to resolve on how legal and judicial measures would be taken to reverse what they term “the impunity in Plateau” allegedly been promoted by the Plateau State Governor, Rt. Hon. Simon Lalong.

You would recall that owing to the face-off in the PDP chapter in the state, the All Progressive Congress (APC) and its candidate won in the just concluded Governorship election conducted by INEC, as Simon Lalong, enjoyed the support of the aggrieved members of the PDP.

With the gang up of the PDP now in Abuja to wrestle the state from the governor, many observers are of the fear that the Lalong’s administration may not take the APC administration very far.

ALGON National President and other members of the National Assembly have shown their concern over the development in Plateau State despite the judgment of the Supreme Court over the involvements of State Governors in Local Government Councils’ affairs and the manner they usually dissolve the elected council officials before the end of their tenures. In another development,  Mr.  Jethro Akun, a former Deputy  Governor, in the annulled administration of late Michael Botmang and during  the six months of the illegal impeachment of Chief Joshua Dariye as Governor of plateau state by six members of the Plateau State House of Assembly, has on Wednesday 5th August, 2015, decamped to the APC.
