Jos –In contrast to media reports earlier this week (not by ViewpointNigeria) –where the Plateau State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), was said to received former governor Joshua Dariye and Deputy governor Pauline Tallen into its fold, the state party chairman Raymond Dabo yesterday debunked these insinuations, saying that no such reception took place.

It is common knowledge that a few days ago at a ceremony at Pankshin, the PDP received over 61 returnees including Arc. Pam Dung Gyang and other politicians –and that both Dariye and Tallen were present at the venue but were not included in the grand ceremony.
The state PDP chairman spoke to Journalists of the National Mirror yesterday and in the interaction, said that the duo of Dariye and Tallen were not among those received by the party.

His words: “All we have been saying is that anyone who wants to join the party should follow due process but we discovered that some people want to boycott this constitutional provision and that is what the party is resisting.

He said those who went through the process beginning from their wards to the LGA level and then subsequently to the state level, were the only ones who were cleared to rejoin the party and were therefore the only ones received in Pankshin.

“As a party, we are not aware of Dariye or Tallen going through this process, which is why we did not receive them during the event though they were present. Until they do the right thing, we cannot receive them,” he said.
