The lawmaker who spoke to journalists in Jos maintained that, “Considering the constitutional provisions and consistent court
judgments first by Justice Ademola who held that the 37 Members who defected earlier this year ought to have vacated their seat in
accordance with section 68(1)(g) of the Constitution 1999. Also Justice Okeke’s of an appellate court upheld the sacking of Rep
Abegunde of Ondo State who defected from the Labour Party.

“By the way let me ask you, when my humble self together with Hon.Dino Melaye and nine other colleagues were suspended from the House of
Reps, was it constitutional for our offices to be sealed by a leadership of the House of which included Speaker Tambuwal then the
Deputy Chief Whip despite a court case? He asked.

Speaking on the failed ceasefire agreement between the Federal Government and Boko Haram, the Lawmaker said, “I would say for the
umpteenth time that terrorism has never been successfully checkmated anywhere in the whole wide world by dialogues or ceasefires. I do not
support any dialogue or ceasefire with terrorists.

“Shekau, who keeps reincarnating has made it loud and clear that they never had a deal with the Federal Government of Nigeria, meaning those
who claimed to have negotiated with Boko Haram on our behalf ought to be questioned considering the waste of resources and the false hope
they generated.

“The Boko Haram terrorist say they are fighting a religious cause and do not subscribe to dialogue or ceasefire that is why rather than
accept amnesty, they offered Mr. President amnesty instead, unless he agrees to convert to Islam.

“The Boko Haram terrorists aim at upstaging the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and replacing same with Sharia law. So far
they have a good chunk of the North East geo political zone under their control. They have even started renaming cities captured in line
with their ultimate dream to establish a worldwide Caliphate. Kaze stressed.

“What in your thinking will motivate such people so deeply indoctrinated to contemplate any ceasefire? He asked.

“To my mind, the only language the terrorist take seriously is superior firepower”
