A socio-cultural group in Plateau State, Plateau Our Heritage (POH) has lauded the recommendation, nomination and speedy confirmation of Honorable Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem as Substantive President Court of Appeal by the National Judicial Council (NJC), President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR and the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria respective.

The group described Justice Monica as a woman of impeccable character, good moral standing and uncompromising integrity who is serving the Nation with uncommon patriotism and meticulously.

The group made these disclosures in an Statement jointly signed by its Chairman, Hon. Alex Kwapnoe and Convener, Hon. Ayuba Pam Dangwong.

The group promised to give her maximum support to excel.

The statement reads:

Plateau Our Heritage Lauds Nomination and Confirmation of Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem as President Court of Appeal

With utmost joy we received the news of the nomination of an illustrious Daughter, a woman of impeccable character, uncommon courage, capacity and uncompromising integrity, Honorable Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and her subsequent speedy confirmation by the Senate as the substantive President Court of Appeal after her recommendation by the National Judicial Council (NJC) in line with Section 238 of the Nigerian Constitution.

We commend the NJC, President Buhari and the Senate for believing in her competence, commitment and her meritorious service to the Nation and the revered legal profession which saw her ascending to the peak of her career. Her contributions to Nation building and the legal profession are visible.

As a group, we laud her capacity, sacrifices and integrity in the discharge of her professional duties without compromise.

It is our collective prayer that she will serve the Nation with all sense of patriotism, impartiality and above all, fear of God to be the hope of the common masses.

We are proud of Honorable Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem and convinced she will bring her wealth of experience to bear to bring about greater transformation and innovation to the legal profession.
