Irked by the alleged snobbery of Plateau State by the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, the people of the state have accused the president of unfair treatment and marginalisation

Viewpointnigeria learnt that various stakeholders in the state had been having series of meetings over what they called marginalisation of the state by the Jonathan-led administration despite the support they gave the president in the last presidential election.

Apparently disturbed by the list of members of the Governing Councils of federal universities released and inaugurated recently, which had nobody form Plateau State as a member, the state House of Assembly held an emergency sitting and condemned the exclusion and tagged such an action as an insult.

Speaking with the Nigerian Tribune over the development, former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Honourable Istifanus Caleb Mwansat, lamented that the people of the state overwhelmingly contributed so much to the institution of President Jonathan and regretted the manner in which the state was being treated.
