Member representing Wase Constituency in the Plateau state house of assembly Hon Yahaya Adamu yesterday commenced free medical treatment to 10,000 constituents in his efforts to uplift their wellbeing.

He said the programme was part of his effort to ensure healthier and productive persons in the society.

“Our commitment aimed at promoting productive individuals in the society by providing required healthcare services which is a priority in governance.

“We will continue in such direction in order to assist the less privilege among the society who cannot afford medical finances.

“Moreover, health is wealth as no any given society can develop educationally, socially or economically without good health

He said that 9,000 Persons have benefited from free Hepatitis screening and vaccination exercise organised by him .

Our correspondent report that the screening and testing exercise which took place in the 4 districts of Wase Constituency lasted for 4 days

The lawmaker said he was inspired to organise the free medical treatment due to the high rate of ill-health in his constituency .

According to him the Screening and testing exercise was done to tackle the increasing case of Hepatitis in Wase local government area .

He said that “Despite COVID-19 Pandemic taking center stage in global affairs Hepatitis is one sickness affecting members of my constituency and therefore the need to screen and provide vaccine for the people .

He said most people do not care to know their health status but with this screening it will go a long way in helping them and also advised the people to always visit hospital to know their help Status .

Leader of the medical team Dr Isah Adamu said the essence of the screening test and vaccination is to help the vulnerable and down trodden in the Society who can’t afford the treatment .

He said so far several persons have been tested and vaccinated across the constituency

Dr Adamu applauded the lawmaker for his timely intervention in the health sector across the Council .
